A SOUTH DAKOTA ACOUSTIC CHRISTMAS- Yuletide Dream is a gentle reminder of yuletide spirit, recorded in 1997.

Acoustic Christmas has been a popular holiday tradition in the state since these South Dakota musical stars organized in 1990. In sell-out concerts around the state, Acoustic Christmas charms audiences with a unique blend of old and new holiday pieces, traditional acoustic instruments and warm, rich vocals.

The group uses arrangements of familiar and not-so-familiar Christmas songs, as well as original numbers by members.

The performers include founding members Michael Connor, on guitar and vocals, and fiddler Kenny Putnam. Others are Boyd Bristow and Tom Dains, guitar and vocals; Terry Pospisil, bass and vocals; Kathy Dains, vocals and penny whistle; and Judy Connor and Barb Morean, vocals and percussion. Special guests in this performance include Tom Hartig on saxophone, flute and clarinet; Cristina Seaborn on fiddle and mandolin; vocalist Doreen Pospisil; Tom Parliman on bagpipes; and Gordy Pratt, guitar and vocals. Professor, poet and writer Bill Holm performs readings, including one of his own poems, between musical numbers.
