Posted by SDPB on

Acclaimed singer and actress Audra McDonald is coming to Brookings on Tuesday, February 23 for a concert presented by Woodbine Productions at the SDSU Performing Arts Center.

Yesterday, she joined Dakota Midday and discussed taking care of her voice during winter and the challenges of portraying Billie Holiday. You can listen to the full interview here.

McDonald has won six Tony Awards. Her most recent came for last year's performance as legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. She received her first Tony in 1994 for her role in a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel.
