WNAX Missouri Valley Barn Dance

From the late 1940s until the mid-1950s, WNAX radio in Yankton brought the experience of a South Dakota barn dance to listeners all over the upper Midwest. WNAX engineers, announcers and entertainers traveled to small towns in South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa presenting ‘The Missouri Valley Barn Dance’ broadcasts every Saturday night. The show could be heard from Kansas City to Fargo to Des Moines.
