The Nebraska Cornhuskers Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Mike Riley to replace Bo Pelini as the new Head Football Coach. Riley coached Oregon State for 14 total seasons with nine bowl appearances.

The 61-year old Riley has an overall record 93-80 at Oregon State. He also coached in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers from 1999-2001. He also has experience as an assistant Head Coach and defensive backs coach from 2002 with the New Orleans Saints.
