The North Dakota State Bison defeated the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 57-56 on Tuesday evening to win the men’s summit league championship. This was a rematch of the 2013 title game, but this time around, the Bison walk away victors. Jackrabbit guard Deondre Parks missed a shot in the closing seconds, which sealed the game for NDSU.

Senior guard Lawrence Alexander led the Bison with 25 points. He also attributed three rebounds and one steal. South Dakota State senior forward Cody Larson led the Jackrabbits with 19 points. Larson also recorded four rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block in the loss.

This is the second straight Summit League title for NDSU. The attendance for the game was 9,033, which is the second highest all-time for a summit league championship game.

South Dakota State will receive a bid for the NIT tournament, while North Dakota State receives an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The NCAA tournament selection show will take place on Sunday evening on ESPN.
