Rapid City and Spearfish both made the Outside Magazine2015 Best Towns road trip map. The adventurer's magazine compiled a list of 64 must-stop towns on an incredible cross-country itninerary, with a focus on access to the wild.
Both towns were highly rated for mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, hiking and fishing opportunities, as well as wide varieties of terrain available within a hour or two’s drive.
