South Dakota native Chad Greenway, 32, has seen his role with the Minnesota Vikings shrink over the past couple of seasons. On Sunday, Greenway again saw limited playing time when the Vikings hosted the San Diego Chargers at TCF Bank Stadium.

Early in the fourth quarter, with the Vikings leading 24-7, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw a pass over the middle, intended for wide out Stevie Johnson. The pass was deflected into the air, and into the hands of Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway. The 10-year league veteran immediately turned it up field, and with a convoy of blockers, went 91-yards for a touchdown.

Greenway’s contract will be up at the end of this year, and it’s unknown whether or not he’ll be re-signed or not come the off-season.

Sunday’s game became even more special for Greenway, because of one special fan in attendance. His grandfather Tom Greenway, 82, was in the Twin Cities, and saw his grandson score. This was the first time Greenway’s grandpa had attended one of his games since high school.

To add icing to an already perfect cake, Greenway gave the game ball on Sunday to Grandpa Tom.

Proud grandpa with a game ball. That was so nice @chadgreenway52. Fabulous game! #vikings#footballpic.twitter.com/VFMK5FjCIo
