Last Updated by Nate Wek on

Sioux Falls O’Gorman grad Dusty Coleman was called up from the El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA) to the San Diego Padres (MLB) over the weekend, and Monday night he capitalized on the opportunity with his first hit in the Major Leagues.

The Padres trailed the New York Mets 6-4 in the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs and a man on first. Coleman was called into the lineup to pinch hit. Facing an 0-2 count, he laced a ball to left-center field, which resulted in an RBI double.
