Pierre's Post 8 Legion baseball team has seen ups and downs in the Central Plains Region Legion Baseball Tournament but going into day four they still have a shot at the championship.
Pierre, who won the South Dakota Class A Legion Baseball tournament last week for their first title in near 50 years, began the regional tournament with a 15-5 win against Ham Lake, MN. On the second day of the tournament they faced a tough team from Iowa and lost 9-2 but rallied back the third day for a 5-2 win over Brighton, MN.
Today they will face Creighton, Nebraska at 3pm/2MT. A win today puts them in the championship game tomorrow at 2pm/1MT. Live stats and Twitter updates for the full tournament can be found here.
