Irene-Wakonda Head Coach Brent Mutchelknaus has spent 32 seasons coaching high school football with Irene and Irene-Wakonda.
He's a 1978 graduate Freeman High School, and an alum of Yankton College.
Throughout his high school football coaching career with Irene and Irene-Wakonda, Coach Mutchelknaus, or Coach M., as he's known locally, has had 20 winning seasons. This includes two state championships with Irene in 1991 and 1993.
Today, he's one of the most respected coaches in the state.
