Tupak Kpeayeh is alone at the top in South Dakota when it comes to rushing yards for a high school career in 11-man football. During the quarterfinal playoff game between Watertown and Sioux Falls Washington on Thursday night, Kpeayeh needed just 86-yards to break the record.

Kpeayeh passed Jason Leber of Vermillion, who ran for 5,305 yards from 1990-1992. Jason Leber is the oldest brother of former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Ben Leber.
Along with holding the record for most-rushing yards in 11-man football history, Kpeayeh also holds the all-time record in career rushing attempts, career touchdowns, and career rushing touchdowns – for 11-man football.
More importantly, Sioux Falls Washington was victorious on Thursday night against Watertown with a final score of 49-14. Next Friday, Sioux Falls Washington will take on the number one seeded Sioux Falls Roosevelt Rough Riders, a team who snapped the Warriors 35-game win streak earlier in the year with a 29-0 shutout.
The winner between Washington and Roosevelt will play the winner of Brandon Valley and Sioux Falls O’Gorman in two weeks at the Dakota Dome for a state championship.
