SDPB1: Wednesday, March 5, 8:30pm (7:30 MT)

Tommy Emmanuel is arguably the greatest living acoustic guitar player and recognized as the elite of the elite. His skill is on display in TOMMY EMMANUEL – CENTER STAGE.

Australia's "Entertainer of the Year" and two-time Grammy nominee, Emmanuel delivers a dazzling performance with the flair of unforgettable showmanship, flawless guitar skills and voluminous repertoire that never fails to amaze and engage his legions.

In October 2007, Emmanuel spent three nights taping at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, California. The edited result is TOMMY EMMANUEL – CENTER STAGE.

The show also includes duets with "Dangerous" Bob Littell on harmonica.

Emmanuel’s repertoire spans the blues, country, bluegrass and introspective folk. He easily crosses over from Beatles favorites to Chet Atkins to folk songs.

Eric Clapton calls him: “The greatest guitar player I’ve ever seen.”

Chet Atkins agrees: "One of the greatest guitar players on the planet…the greatest finger-picker in the world.”

Emmanuel has performed with hundreds of musical legends including Les Paul, Keith Urban, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, and the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra.

Supporters of Friends of SDPB will have a chance to select tickets to a live Emmanuel performances in South Dakota either July 19 in Sioux Falls or July 21 in Rapid City.
