The Board of Directors of the South Dakota High School Activities Association approved a recommendation on Wednesday from its executive staff, who last week released a statement urging the postponement of a six-man high school football class in the Mt. Rushmore state until the year 2021.

The future of six-man football in South Dakota is unclear as the executive staff of the South Dakota High School Activities Association is now recommending it be postponed for both the 2019 and 2020 seasons. This recommendation is being sent to the SDHSAA Board of Directors, who will vote on the issue next week.
