Buddy symbolizes "Learn. Dream. Grow," and many of his activities reflect how these concepts translate into the lives of our young viewers – Buddy's hangout' is called "Buddy's Birdhouse," a well equipped tree house, complete with a computer, radio and television.

Buddy is a young boy who is awkward and lovable. He goes to school to learn each day, he dreams about the future and what he may be when he grows up. He is very smart and loves to read. He is also very proficient with his computer and loves many of the SDPB Television programs..
