A Conversation with Al Neuharth

In July, 2009, SDPB had an opportunity to have an hour long conversation with media mogul, Al Neuharth. Al discussed his early life growing up in South Dakota and some of the life lessons he later applied to his prolific professional career. From his failed sports weekly newspaper called SoDak Sports to creating the first nationwide daily – USA Today – Al Neuharth has been one of the most influential people in the newspaper business over the last 60 years and he shares some of those experiences with SDPB in “A Conversation with Al Neuharth”.
