South Dakota has 6 public universities, 13 private, and 4 technical. Some claim those entering the college arena fresh out of high school simply do not have the academic skills they should have. Many college professors find themselves teaching college freshman material they should have learned in high school. It’s a controversial issue and many in the education industry along with parents are wondering why?
