SDPB News Director Cara Hetland welcomes Dr. Eugene Hoyme, head of pediatrics at Sanford Children's Hospital. Hoyme has recently returned from a research trip to Africa where he has a long term study of children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.
Hetland also visits with Dr. James Stone of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Stone has several research projects in the works dealing with mercury in our water, uranium mining in Harding County and the environmental impact of antibiotics in swine manure.
