A bill that stirred up a media firestorm was defeated in the state House Thursday, February 17, by a vote of 61 to 4. Bill opponents allege that the prime sponsor tried to legalize the killing of abortion providers. But Rapid City Representative Phil Jensen says he’s baffled by the response and just wanted to make sure pregnant women could protect their unborn child.
