South Dakota Focus: Update on state Budget Cuts.

Join South Dakota Focus on Thursday Sept. 29^th as we take a closer look at state budget cuts.  On July 1^st 2011 the fiscal year budget for 2012 went into effect handing down a 10 percent budget cut for almost all of state government.  Our guests will talk about how those cuts are impacting state employees, state programs and those individuals who depend on some of those programs cut or downsized.  Guests will include State Senator and Chairman of the State Appropriations committee, Corey Brown; Gary Aguiar a board member with the South Dakota State Employees organization; Joy Smolnisky the Director of the South Dakota Budget and Policy Project; and Vicki Kerkvle with the South Dakota Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities and David Miller also with the South Dakota Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities.
