1st Place - Old Broken Jars by Elizabeth, Viborg
"While painting an old barn east of my farm house I came across many old jars. Most scattered on the outside of the barn.Gathering them up in my arms I envisioned how I would place them in order to shoot a still life picture. Running back to my house, I raced up the stairs to search for my camera. When I returned to where the jars were I noticed that several cats came to inspect what their human had done to the barn that was once filled with solitude. Then one decides knock over the one in front. I decided to keep it like that and place all the jars on an edge inside the barn with the one tipped over on its side."

2nd Place - Pintail Flyby by Thomas, Spearfish
"This picture was taken on a morning duck hunt in a wheat field in eastern South Dakota. When I'm in a field hunting ducks, I feel most at home."

3rd Place - Grandma's Homestead by Paige, Watertown
"I took this photo of my little sister at the farm where my grandma grew up with her seven siblings. The house is no longer standing but there are a few sheds and a silo still there and part of the barn is still standing. It is very cool going out there and looking at everything and trying to imagine how it looked many years ago."

1st Place - Junkyard Dog by Paige, Watertown
"This is my sister's dog Meaki (meek-y) she is a border collie/blue heeler mix. I thought it would be cool to take pictures of her after I saw her jump up on one of the cars at my neighbors junkyard. I want to say it is about a good mile or so long property lined up with cars of all sorts."

"This picture was taken at Spearfish Fish Hatchery. When I think of South Dakota I think of duck hunting and this picture is an excellent example of the ducks that live here."

3rd Place - Erk Ranch Lookout by Colton, Rapid City
"I took this photo at my families ranch, north of Newell. This photo was taken after an 2.25 inches rain the night before, which made the beautiful fall colors, that much more vibrant.  I took it on Oct. 3rd 2015."
