Senate Ag & Natural Resources

There are 40 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2003 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The Senate Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday at 10am in room 423 of the Capitol.

SB 69 - provide for reduced camping fees for certain persons.
SB 90 -revise the available number of certain nonresident waterfowl hunting licenses.
SB 99 - revise certain provisions related to the sponsorship of projects by water development districts.  
SB 127- provide that the beneficial interest in any wind easement shall follow the surface estate.
SB 162 - revise the definition of E85 ethanol blend fuel.

SB 190- revise certain provisions related to the licensing and operation of sand, gravel, and construction aggregate mining facilities.
SB 199- revise the powers and composition of the South Dakota State Fair Commission within the Department of Agriculture.
SB 204- provide for the protection of certain agricultural contractors.

SB 219- require the clearing and thinning of undergrowth and hazardous fuels in certain wooded areas and to provide a penalty or violation thereof.
SB 190- revise certain provisions related to the licensing and operation of sand, gravel, and construction aggregate mining facilities.
SB 163- require the use of certain bio-diesel fuel blends.
SB 214- provide for the regulation of certain genetically modified wheat.
SB 218 - require the use of nontoxic shot for hunting along highways and public rights-of-way.
HCR 1003- Requesting the Game, Fish and Parks Commission to make certain adjustments to the Youth Pheasant Season and the Early Resident-Only Pheasant Season.

SB 163 - require the use of certain biodiesel fuel blends.
SB 214- provide for the regulation of certain genetically modified wheat.
SB 201 - require counties to notify the Department of Agriculture of certain land use plans and ordinances.
SB 195- establish the hunters welcome program.

SB 219- require the clearing and thinning of undergrowth and hazardous fuels in certain wooded areas and to provide a penalty for violation thereof.
SB 212- revise certain provisions related to hunting from public rights-of-way.
HB 1013- authorize the Department of Agriculture to enter into mutual aid agreements with other fire suppression organizations.
HB 1020- authorize the Game, Fish and Parks Commission to promulgate rules to permit certain mobility-impaired hunters and disabled hunters to hunt from a stationary motor vehicle and to permit certain persons to operate and ride on an off-road vehicle while in possession of a loaded and uncased firearm.
HCR 1007- Urging the United States Department of Agriculture to implement country of origin labeling for beef.

HB 1209- revise certain restrictions on the use of artificial lights to hunt wild animals.
HB 1122- provide for the issuance of certain hunting licenses to persons on active duty in the armed forces.

HB 1170- revise certain administrative rules related to reports by pesticide applicators.
HB 1122- provide for the issuance of certain hunting licenses to persons on active duty in the armed forces
HB 1214- revise certain ethanol production incentive payment procedures.
HB 1215- revise certain provisions regarding the records kept by taxidermists and the inspection of taxidermists.

HB 1163- revise certain provisions related to hunting in public rights-of-way.
