Senate Transportation

There are 40 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2003 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The Senate Transportation Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45am in room 413 of the Capitol.

HB 1023 - reporting of a snowmobile or boat accident and withdrawal of  bodily substances for chemical analysis.
HB 1037 - revise the seating capacity of a motor bus for purposes of defining a motorbus for vehicle registration
HB 1038 - exempt vans owned by churches from vehicle license fees.

SB 122 - permit certain persons holding a restricted driving permit to operate a motor vehicle for an extended period of time.

SB 95- revise the circumstances in which motor vehicle lamps are required to be in use.
HB 1072 - revise certain provisions regarding the operation of vehicles upon the approach of authorized emergency vehicles.
SB 143 - authorize certain haystack movers to exceed vehicle weight restrictions under certain conditions.
SB 119 - require that certain lienholders and insurance companies pay the fees associated with the towing and storage of motor vehicles under certain circumstances.
