There are 35 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2004 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The House Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45am in room 468 of the Capitol.

HB 1022 - revise certain provisions regarding the American Dairy Association and the state dairy check-off program
HB 1023 - revise the scope of services provided by the state fire equipment shop and to authorize the shop to charge for costs incurred for rural fire assistance programs
HB 1024 - authorize counties to use the South Dakota grassland fire index to regulate the use of fireworks
HB 1025 - authorize the Department of Agriculture to enter into certain agreements for training and for fire prevention and suppression activities
HB 1026 - repeal certain provisions specifying the organization of the Department of Agriculture

HB 1014 - reduce the percentage of owners required to ratify an oil and gas unit
HB 1057 - permit nonresidents having a nonresident preserve license to hunt certain animals on a licensed shooting preserve
HB 1059 - permit certain persons to discharge pyrotechnics on land owned or leased by the Department of Game, Fish and Parks
HB 1060 - permit dependant children of resident active duty military service persons to obtain deer and antelope hunting licenses under certain circumstances
HB 1085 - provide for certain reduced hunting and fishing license fees for certain disabled residents who served in the armed forces reserve or national guard

HB 1143 - designate Webster as the site for the official State Fishing Museum.

HB 1197 - establish the Game, Fish and Parks Legislative Oversight Committee
HB 1226 - direct the Department of Game, Fish and Parks to enter into negotiations with Indian tribes related to the management of Bear Butte State Park
HB 1261 - allow the use of dogs in tracking wounded deer
HB 1160 - establish a pilot program for the issuance of transferable landowner big game hunting licenses

HB 1237: allow the use of certain federal permits in South Dakota relating to organisms and products produced through genetic engineering.
HB 1147: allow certain National Guard and armed forces reserve members to obtain resident hunting and fishing licenses.
HB 1194: limit the terms of certain conservation easements.

SB 20 - revise certain provisions regarding administration of the state fair by the Department of Agriculture
