Senate Education
There are 35 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2004 session. Standing
Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the
morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special
evening meetings. The Senate Education Committee is scheduled to meet
Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45am in room 423 of the Capitol.

SB 75 -authorize the payment of certain school district
transportation expenses from the capital outlay fund.

SB 173 - to clarify the alternative certification requirements for
school administrators
SB 159 - allow a school board to set the amount of per diem that

SB 205 - provide for the distribution of certain money
appropriated as state aid

SB 206: increase the per student allocation in the state aid to
education formula.
SB 213: repeal certain provisions regarding the reduction in state
aid to education based on school district general fund balances
SB 169: provide a sparsity factor when distributing certain school
district revenue.
SB 210: require certain information from scholarship applicants to
be provided to the Richard Hagen-Minerva Harvey scholarship board.

versions of textbooks suitable for conversion into Braille
