Senate Local Government
There are 35 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2004 session. Standing
Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the
morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special
evening meetings. The Senate Local Government Committee is scheduled to
meet Monday and Wednesday at 7:45am in room 423 of the Capitol.

SB 160-authorize a municipality to enter into leases for
communications towers on water towers located on park land and for
related ground facilities.
SB 177- revise certain provisions related to contacts between
members of the governing body and municipal employees in
municipalities using the city manager form of government.
SB 186- provide for discretion in the acceptance of certain public
bids.
SB 132-grant counties the authority to discuss certain economic
development information in executive session.
HB 1008-revise certain municipal and school election deadlines and
procedures.
HB 1010-permit certain high school students to be excused from
school if working as election officials.
HB 1069- designate the Bureau of Administration as the agency
responsible for the review and adjustment of certain fees chargeable
for legal publications

HB 1127 - revise the provisions concerning the bonding of township
clerks and treasurers
HB 1128 - revise the requirements for purchasing or leasing
equipment or tools for townships
HB 1005 - require counties to determine the unreserved,
undesignated general fund balance at certain times of the fiscal year
and to publish and report this information
HB 1105 - permit certain temporary on-sale licenses to be issued
by municipalities and counties
SB 171 - revise certain provisions concerning the organization of
civil townships
