There are 35 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2004 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The Senate Retirement Laws Committee does not have a regular meeting schedule; rather, the committee meets at the call of the chair.

Legislative Day 14 2/2/04 - complete meeting SB 65:revise the South Dakota Retirement System board membership. HB 1032:revise the compensation considered when computing the final average salary of a member of the South Dakota Retirement System and to repeal certain rule-making authority. HB 1033:establish a special pay retirement program for state government, the Board of Regents, and certain other political subdivisions. HB 1034:revise certain provisions of the additional survivor protection program within the South Dakota Retirement System. HB 1035:revise the range of interest rates paid on certain payouts from the South Dakota Retirement System. HB 1036:revise the cost of purchasing uncredited public service in the South Dakota Retirement System. HB 1037:revise the retirement provisions for retired members of the South Dakota Retirement System who return to covered employment. HB 1038:identify the member's compensation to be used in calculating all benefits under the South Dakota Retirement System and to revise certain definitions relating thereto. HB 1039:specify the service needed to receive benefits in the South Dakota Retirement System. HB 1040:revise the actuarial reporting procedures by the South Dakota Retirement System and to revise certain actuarial terms.
