Senate Local Government 

There are 40 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2005 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The Senate Local Government Committee is scheduled to meet Monday and Wednesday at 7:45am in room 423 of the Capitol.

SB 134 revise the dates for holding certain elections and filing certain nominating petitions
SB 136 provide a procedure for awarding construction project contracts if no bids are received during a competitive bid process

HB 1126 remove certain restrictions that apply to the unexpended balances of the unemployment insurance compensation fund established by political subdivisions.
HB 1074 revise certain provisions relating to the maximum term of promissory notes issued to municipalities.
HB 1076* permit certain public entities to establish the maximum indemnity for their officers and employees.
