Senate state affairs  

There are 35 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2006 session. Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The Senate State Affairs Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:45am in room 412 of the Capitol.

SB 179 - direct the Bureau of Administration to provide all of the fourth floor of the State Capitol Building for use by the Legislature.

HB 1080 - restrict the use of eminent domain under certain circumstances and to protect certain private property rights from acquisition by the use or threat of eminent domain.
HB 1054 - revise certain provisions regarding an increase of the prizes that certain lotteries may award.
HB 1091 - authorize the Public Utilities Commission to approve tariff mechanisms for the automatic annual adjustment of charges for jurisdictional costs of new or modified transmission facilities.
HB 1127 - authorize the Gaming Commission to fund gambling addiction treatment programs.
HB 1173 - limit the authority of the state agencies to promulgate rules restricting the application of permits to carry a concealed pistol.

HB 1016 - provide for the creation of a renewable electricity and recycled energy renewable energy credit system by the Public Utilities Commission.
HB 1198 - define the applicable standard of care in regard to screening of risk factors for all abortions except in the case of a medical emergency.
HB 1215 - establish certain legislative findings, to reinstate the prohibition against certain acts causing the termination of an unborn human life, to prescribe a penalty therefor, and to provide for the implementation of such provisions under certain circumstances.
