SB 50 - change the name of the Board of Counselor Examiners. 5th Legislative Day 01/14/2008 Complete Meeting 7th Legislative Day 01/16/2008 Complete Meeting SB 34 - allow certified nurse midwives to attend out-of-hospital births under certain circumstances. 10th Legislative Day 01/23/2008 Complete Meeting SB 88 - require abortion facilities to offer sonograms to pregnant women under certain circumstances. SB 51 - revise certain terminology, licensing requirements, and procedures regarding the Board of Examiners of Psychologists. 12th Legislative Day 01/25/2008 Complete Meeting SB 161 - create the South Dakota Boxing Commission and to provide for the supervision of boxing and kickboxing competitions and sparring exhibitions in the state. SB 130 - provide for a property tax levy to fund the health insurance benefits of school district employees and to create a school district health insurance fund. SB 164 - clarify the application of certain statutes relative to contraception and birth control. SB 182 - expand the disclosure of inpatient hospital charges and to provide for the development of a system for the disclosure of charges for outpatient procedures. SB 33 - require hospitals to report certain adverse health care events. 19th Legislative Day 02/06/2008 Complete Meeting SB 182 - expand the disclosure of inpatient hospital charges and to provide for the development of a system for the disclosure of charges for outpatient procedures. HB 1052 - define an inpatient hospice and residential hospice as a health care facility. HB 1053 - place certain substances on the controlled substances schedule and to declare an emergency. HB 1078 - transfer in the code a section requiring certification for chemical dependency counselors and prevention specialists. 25th Legislative Day 02/15/2008 Complete Meeting HB 1259 - make an appropriation for the detection and prevention of Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome. 27th Legislative Day 02/20/2008 Complete Meeting HB 1318 - provide options for those who elect continuation of health insurance. 29th Legislative Day 02/22/2008 Complete Meeting HB 1193 - require abortion facilities to offer sonograms to pregnant women under certain circumstances. 30th Legislative Day 02/25/2008 Complete Meeting
