SB 23 - revise the state trunk highway system. 8th Legislative Day 01/23/2009 Complete Meeting SB 17 - revise certain driver licensing provisions. SB 18 - update certain provisions pertaining to motor carrier safety and transportation of hazardous materials. 11th Legislative Day 01/28/2009 Complete Meeting SB 9 - authorize certain vehicle parking privileges for persons with disabilities who display Purple Heart special license plates. 13th Legislative Day 01/30/2009 Complete Meeting SB 79 - provide for the primary enforcement of seat belt laws and to define passenger buses. SB 103 - provide for the primary enforcement of the seat belt law. 14th Legislative Day 02/02/2009 Complete Meeting SB 102 - provide for the issuance of limited use stickers for historical vehicle license plates. SB 129 - revise certain conditions that must be met before an extension of State Highway 53 in Tripp County is added to the state trunk highway system. 16th Legislative Day 02/04/2009 Complete Meeting SB 151 - provide for a special motor vehicle license plate for parents of members of the United States Armed Forces who died while in service of this country. SB 119 - revise the authority of the state, counties, and townships to transfer highway right-of-ways under certain conditions. 18th Legislative Day 02/09/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1133 - authorize certain specialty license plates to be placed on motorcycles. HB 1023 - authorize the secretary of transportation to create limited speed zones through highway work areas under certain conditions. 20th Legislative Day 02/11/2009 Complete Meeting SB 151 - provide for a special motor vehicle license plate for parents of members of the United States Armed Forces who died while in service of this country. 22nd Legislative Day 02/13/2009 Complete Meeting SB 201 - increase certain fees on motor vehicles and to increase the fuel excise tax on certain fuel used by motor vehicles. SB 11 - repeal the reduction of motor vehicle license fees for certain older motor vehicles. SB 200 - provide for a tax on the wholesale price of certain fuel and to increase the fuel excise tax. 24th Legislative Day 02/18/2009 Complete Meeting SB 200 - provide for a tax on the wholesale price of certain fuel and to increase the fuel excise tax. SB 11 - repeal the reduction of motor vehicle license fees for certain older motor vehicles. SB 10 - increase the excise tax on motor vehicles. 26th Legislative Day 02/20/2009 Complete Meeting SB 201 - increase certain fees on motor vehicles and to increase the fuel excise tax on certain fuel used by motor vehicles. 27th Legislative Day 02/23/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1150 - revise certain requirements for any person to sell motorcycles at an event and to provide a penalty for violation thereof. HB 1202 - permit certain persons with insulin-treated diabetes mellitus to get an endorsement on a commercial driver license to drive a school bus. HB 1126 - revise certain provisions regarding a private applicator of pesticides becoming a qualified driver for the purpose of motor carrier safety. 29th Legislative Day 02/25/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1140 - make an appropriation from the railroad trust fund for the construction of a railroad siding. HB 1214 - remove certain speed restrictions for certain vehicles hauling agricultural products or livestock. HB 1024 - authorize the Department of Transportation to regulate the operation of off-road vehicles in certain state highway ditches. HB 1228 - require mopeds used on public highways to be titled and licensed as a motorcycle and to increase license fees for motorcycles. 30th Legislative Day 03/02/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1121 - establish certain procedural requirements related to the relocation of electrical lines, communication lines, and pipelines. HB 1281 - enhance funding for state highways by increasing fees on certain signs, displays, or devices. 32nd Legislative Day 03/04/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1281 - enhance funding for state highways by increasing fees on certain signs, displays, or devices. HB 1007 - increase certain noncommercial and commercial motor vehicle license fees and to increase the fuel excise tax on certain fuel used by motor vehicles. 35th Legislative Day 03/09/2009 Complete Meeting HB 1227 - increase license fees for certain noncommercial motor homes and trailers.
