There are 38 Legislative Days scheduled for the 2010 session.Standing Legislative Committees meet in regularly scheduled sessions during the morning hours of each Legislative Day. Some committees will hold special evening meetings. The House Health and Human Services Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45am in room 412 of the Capitol.

HB 1045 - revise the definition of anabolic steroid, to provide for the scheduling of tapentadol, lacosamide, and fospropofol as controlled substances, and to declare an emergency.
HB 1028 - revise certain requirements for the provisional certification of interpreters for the deaf and revise certain authority to promulgate rules concerning certified interpreters for the deaf.
HB 1029 - authorize the Board of Social Worker Examiners to deny, suspend, or revoke applications for licensure or licenses under certain circumstances and repeal certain physical examination provisions.
HB 1043 - revise the risk pool rate methodology, to revise the number of risk pool benefit plans offered, and to revise open enrollment for uninsurable children.

HB 1231 - provide for the monitoring of the prescribing and dispensing of controlled substances.
HB 1133 - prohibit minors from using certain wireless communication devices while operating motor vehicles upon the public highways and to provide certain exceptions.
HB 1230 - permit certain persons to assist women during pregnancy and childbirth under certain conditions.

HB 1253 - refer to a vote of the people a bill to authorize smoking in certain establishments under certain conditions.
HB 1275 - extend the age limit for cochlear implants.
HB 1144 - revise the Human Relations Act to include additional categories of persons.
HB 1223 - provide procedures by which adopted persons may obtain their original birth certificates and the contact preference of birth parents.

HB 1184 - revise employee sick leave used for the care of a spouse, child, or parent of the employee if the spouse, child, or parent has a serious health condition.
HB 1245 - repeal the death penalty and commute certain death sentences to life imprisonment.
SB 157 - authorize the construction of nursing facilities on American Indian reservations under certain circumstances.

SB 115 - prohibit the sale of contact lenses without a prescription.
