Joe Lowe has retired from his position of leader of the South Dakota Division of Wildland Fire Suppression. Lowe says the 2002 Grizzly Gulch fire was among his hardest battles. He also says the flood fight this past summer at Dakota Dunes was one of his greatest challenges.

Rick Melmer, Dean of the School of Education at the University of South Dakota will discuss the education proposals both parties have set forward in the South Dakota Legislature as well as the hot topic of tenure.

Michelle Verrochi, a science teacher at Todd County High School and one of 100 “Teach for America” teachers. She is also part of a committee that is working to inspire students and parents and drive home the importance of staying in school.
