Novel 'Tarnished Eye' Gentler than Subject Matter

Alan Cheuse reviews The Tarnished Eye by Midwestern writer Judith Guest. Cheuse says the book is a sweetheart of a novel, even though the plot is based around the slaying of an entire family.
