Pierre is in the process of updating some of its airport runways.
The rehabilitation of Runway 7-25 wrapped up this week.
The city is also updating Runway 13-31. The $6.3 million project includes replacing asphalt on the landing areas, installing new lighting, wind cones and wiring and painting new markings.
Morris, Inc., the company that rehabilitated Runway 7-25, was approved for the new project as well.
