City of Sioux Falls launches upgraded version of its app

The city of Sioux Falls is launching an upgraded version of its app.

In 2019, the city launched its initial version to help residents submit city issues on various services.

Ali Hartzler is the Communications and Culture Officer for the city. She said there are a lot of updates on the new app.

“The primary additions to the app, in addition to updating the homepage and sort of the navigation, is that it also makes it easier to pay a bill, search for a job, and it streamlines the backend workflow so our city employees can resolve your customer issues more effectively. After you submit a request, it doesn’t just go out into the ether, you’ll continue to get updates within the app so that you know the status of your request,” Hartzler said.

Hartzler said anyone with the existing app needs to delete it and download the new one, but all claims submitted before Aug. 15 on the old app will still be addressed by the city.
