The Rosebud Sioux Tribe Volunteer Fire Department is asking for the public’s help to prevent fires.
The department has put out several fires this week, as the region is under a red flag warning.
Firefighters responded to two suspected arson fires on Monday, one in the Parmelee area and the other near Soldier Creek.
A third fire started Tuesday night, where a witness says they saw people fleeing after setting hay bales on fire west of St. Francis.
Wednesday a burning trash barrel started a fire also in the St. Francis area.
All fires have been contained and no structures have been damaged, yet.
Officials are asking the public to refrain from burning thing outdoors because grasses are dry and wind speeds and temperatures are high.
