Sioux Falls based songwriter and performer Thomas Hentges is a veteran of many bands and genres including hardcore punk and metal. These days, Hentges (stage name: Burlap Wolf King) is very much at home playing music that appeals to fans of folk, alt/country and indie. The first Burlap Wolf King album, "The Middle," was recorded in Aberdeen and released in 2009. The release was followed a year later by an honor in the Boston Phoenix as one of the 50 Best New Bands in America. Burlap Wolf King's most recent release was a five-song EP which he unveiled last January. It received positive feedback with critics noting that his works are personal and give listeners a clear look into his life. This concert was recorded on October 25, 2013, at the Dahl Art Center in Rapid City. Hentges will soon begin work on a new full length album.
