In honor of women’s history month, we’re highlighting a new album which fuses women’s words from around the world to American Song.
“Were I with Thee” is a line from the Emily Dickinson Poem “Wild Nights – Wild Nights.” Michaelle Areyzaga and pianist Dana Brown have put Dickinson’s words, along with the words of Dorothy Parker, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Gabriela Mistral, and others to song.
Dana Brown is a South Dakota native. He spoke with In the Moment about his new album.
