The Sioux Falls City Council unanimously approved changes to the public transit system.

Updates include creating more direct routes, quicker route frequencies and improving coverage to 100 percent of the city, according to Via, the city’s metro transit company.

The new changes roll out later this fall.

This is the first modification to the system since 2005, officials said.
