This hour-long SDPB documentary looks into the stories behind the firearms in museums and private collections around the state.

The guns featured include a musket carried at the Battle of Bunker Hill by the great-grandfather of South Dakota's first U.S. Senator, R.F. Pettigrew; a rifle carried during the Civll War by the great-great-grandfather of South Dakota's current U.S. Senator, Mike Rounds; several rifles and pistols left on the Little Big Horn Battlefield; and many more.

The documentary also describes some of the technological changes in firearms, from the flintlocks carried by explorers like Hugh Glass, to the automatic rifles carried by U.S. Troops in Vietnam.
