The state Department of Health reports 200 new coronavirus cases. South Dakota has seen a total of 12 cases of the highly contagious delta variant, one more from last week. One new death is reported bringing the state’s death toll to 2,041.
There are 290 active COVID cases in the state and 38 people hospitalized.
Health officials report 974 people received vaccinations in the last week. That brings the total number to nearly 375,000 South Dakotans vaccinated.
Over 53 percent of state residents, 12 and older now have the full vaccine series.
