PBS President Paula Kerger On-hand for Ribbon Cutting and Reception

PBS President and Chief Executive Officer Paula Kerger will speak at the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of SDPB’s Black Hills Bureau on Thursday, October 26, at 4:30pm. A reception follows until 6:30pm. SDPB’s Black Hills Bureau is located in the Parts Central Building, 415 Main Street, in downtown Rapid City.

Kerger joined PBS in 2006, and is the longest serving president and CEO in PBS history. Since her arrival, Kerger has made particularly strong commitments to the arts, news and public affairs, high-quality educational content for children and the classroom, diversity, and the use of new digital platforms to bring public media into the lives of all Americans.

SDPB's Black Hills Bureau

SDPB is excited to be settled into our new location in downtown Rapid City!

The SDPB Black Hills Bureau serves as a reporting and storytelling production center for original media content created West River and a public gathering space for program tapings, premieres, and audience-participation events.

SDPB's Black Hills Bureau was made possible by private donations, including black Hills Surgical Hospital, Tim Dougherty and Karen E. Schreier, Drs. Ashok and Kaushalya Kumar, and the South Dakota Community Foundation.
