Kamberlyn Lamer of Dakota Wesleyan won the women’s heptathlon event on Friday to achieve the top prize – a National Championship.

On Tuesday, an NAIA committee granted a DWU appeal, which allowed Lamer to compete in the National Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She was originally ineligible due to her coach failing to register her during the designated window of time.

Lamer finished her performance at the event in Gold Shores, Alabama with a total of 5,065 points. The heptathlon consists of seven track and field events.
