After a disaster, 25% of businesses keep their doors closed for good. That's according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.

The U.S. Small Business Administration released a guide to help small businesses avoid becoming a part of that statistic. It offers tips on how to be more resilient in the face of disasters — like floods and tornados.

Bryson Patterson is deputy district director with the South Dakota District Office of the SBA. He dives into the guide with us.
