'United We Stand' event taking place in Aberdeen

South Dakotans continue striving to bring awareness and education on the topic of missing and murdered indigenous persons.

The June 13 event “United We Stand: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons of South Dakota Exhibit and Panel” takes place at 6:30 p.m. at K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library.

Featured on the panel is detective Sgt. Mark Miller from the Aberdeen Police Department.

Melissa Chapman Skinner is event organizer and an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Nation. They join "In the Moment" to preview the event and share insight and education on missing and murdered indigenous people in South Dakota.
