Lee Strubinger

The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish, and Parks is seeking applications for public outdoor recreation grant opportunities across the state.

The funding will prioritize projects based on the organization’s 2023 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan.

Projects funded include paving trails, creating swim beaches, fishing areas, playgrounds, dog parks and more.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund will provide 50 percent reimbursement for approved projects seeking $10,000 or more.

The application deadline is April 26. Access program and application information here.
