DANR, GFP offer aid for landowners battling prairie dogs

The South Dakota Departments of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Game Fish and Parks are offering assistance with unwanted prairie dogs.

The departments have a program helping residents who own property adjacent to public lands.

To be eligible for assistance, landowner need to have at least 10 acres of prairie dog colonies.

The deadline to enroll for assistance is Aug. 15.
