Deceased baby boy found in Sioux Falls is given a proper burial

A deceased baby boy, now known as Gabriel James Doe, was found on August 6th at a recycling center in Sioux Falls.

The Oaklyn Foundation gave Gabriel his name and took charge of his burial. The foundation offers support to families effected by death.

The foundation said it was important to them that the baby received a name.

Miller Funeral Home is providing a celebration of life and visitation ceremony over the next two days – both are open to the public.

A visitation is offered at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel on August 27th from 10a.m. until 7 p.m.

Gabriel’s funeral will take place Wednesday, August 28th at the Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

His burial will take place at Hills of Rest Cemetery.
