A suspected drug dealer is under arrest in Sioux Falls after police found multiple drugs at his house.
Sioux Falls authorities had a search warrant Wednesday when they discovered more than two pounds of marijuana, nine grams of hash oil, a shotgun and more than $18,000 in cash. Officer Sam Clemens says police also found 10 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.
"I think they probably had an idea that he had been dealing, primarily in marijuana, I mean, if you have over two pounds of marijuana, but then also having mushrooms. More of the time we encounter those mushrooms, it’s in smaller quantities, but to have 10 ounces – I’ve seen it. It’s a pretty good sized bag of mushrooms, and it’s something that we don’t see regularly. It’s certainly around and we encounter it, but to see that size of it is a little bit unusual," Clemens says.
Clemens says 38-year-old Brian Berke faces multiple felony drug charges. They include possession, intent to distribute, and violating a drug-free zone. Police found the illegal substances in Berke’s home and car in central Sioux Falls.
