Expert: Flood Prone Areas Should Prepare For Climate Change

For the second time in four years record flooding has resulted in sandbagging and levee building in South Dakota.     
 
The 2011 floods on the Missouri River threatened some of the same low lying communities that again saw high water on the Big Sioux in 2014.
 
Scientists like SDSU’s Dr. Carter Johnson  point out that floods and extreme weather will likely become more frequent under climate change.
